The Midwest is known for its year round fun due to its pronounced seasons. The summers in the Midwest usually revolve around spending time on fresh water lakes. With access to four of the five great lakes ( Michigan, Huron, Superior and Erie) and the many inland lakes, the Midwest offers many different lake related activities. Winters in the Midwest can cold but are always fun. The Midwest offers some miles and miles of snowmobile trails and also has some great ski hills. In the winter, many still enough the many lakes by ice fishing. The fall season produces some amazing sites when the leaves change for the season. The northern area of Michigan, Wisconsin and Minnesota are known for their fall colors.

There are many non-nature related activities to be enjoyed in the Midwest. Chicago sees many tourist visiting its Michigan Avenue to enjoy shopping and the lights and sounds of the big City. Another amazing shopping destination in the Midwest is the Mall America that offers miles of shops all indoors. The most popular non-nature related activity in the Midwest is visiting Amusement Parks. The Midwest has some of the world’s best amusement parks such as Cedar Point, Kings Island and Six Flags.
